Jackie O rumour mill in overdrive

Rumours are flying that radio host Jackie “O” Henderson has a new flame.

The sidekick to Kyle Sandilands on the KIIS FM breakfast show was seen on the weekend having a dip at the beach in Clovelly with, in Sydney’s east, with an easy on the eye male companion.

The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential column identified the man as Daniel Cartwright, a neighbour of Henderson’s from the nearby suburb of Maroubra, who it’s understood works in the finance industry.

In November, Henderson and Sandilands renewed their contract at KIIS FM which would keep them on the air for another 11 years.

It was reported that the contract with radio network ARN is worth $200 million. The landmark deal will also see their show broadcast in Melbourne from next year.

But a person close to the 49 year-old told Confidential that rumours of a brand new beau were wide of the mark.

Rather, Henderson and Mr Cartwright were just neighbours who met through mates.

“There is nothing more than friendship,” said the source.

“It is purely platonic.”

Earlier this month, Henderson said she was “desperate” to find love having been single since her 2018 split from husband Lee Henderson.

“I just really want to find someone. I can’t find him and I’m sort of a bit lost at the moment,” she told former Bachelorette star Luke McLeod at the launch of his new book Everyday Enlightenment.

“I have a lot of love to give or I want that affection, that company. It just feels like there’s something missing in my life.”

The swim session with Mr Cartwright came hours before the KIIS FM Breakfast team became embroiled in controversy after a fracas involving Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi at the Clovelly Hotel.

Show producer Joshua Fox, 32, had been sent to the beachside pub that afternoon to get a story after the radio station heard the 26-year-old actor was in the venue’s beer garden.

Brisbane-born Elordi – who is currently one of the most in-demand young stars in showbiz – is being investigated by NSW Police following an alleged altercation between the pair, which reportedly started after Elordi became frustrated Mr Fox was filming him.

Audio from the incident was played on-air Monday’s show, in which Mr Fox is heard approaching Elordi with an empty jar, requesting he fill it with his bathwater and “send it to the studio” for the show’s co-host Henderson – referencing a controversial scene involving Elordi’s character in the hit movie Saltburn.

“You’re kidding,” Elordi is heard responding, before asking, “Are you filming?”

Mr Fox claimed things went south after he stopped filming.

“He [Elordi] kind of gets up in my face … He’s a lot taller than me. I could’ve kissed him he was that close.

“I’m backed against a wall, he’s right in my face and his two boys [friends] are beside me. It was kind of scary.

“Jacob demands I delete the footage.”

Fox claimed he agreed to delete the footage, telling the actor the joke “didn’t land” so there was “nothing to use.”

“A switch went off and he’s become quite aggressive. He goes, ‘Go into your recently deleted [folder]’,” Mr Fox continued.

“I’m thinking, if I delete this footage, there’s no evidence this encounter happened. So then I refused to [delete it].

“Jacob flips and pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat.”

Despite reports suggesting Mr Fox filed a police report at the local station, the radio staffer claimed police contacted him and he’s yet to agree to file a statement.

“I don’t like the attention. Once the media were involved, the main detective was phoning me saying, ‘We’ve seized CCTV, given its high profile, it’s going to get a lot of attention and we want to be ready if you do wish to make a statement’.”

Elordi is yet to comment and no charges have been laid.
