[ad_1]

(KRON) — Two lanes will be closed on the lower deck of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night, Caltrans announced. The lower deck of the bridge carries eastbound traffic.

The closures went into effect at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and the lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. They will be closed for the same time period on Thursday and Friday night.

The closures affect the far-right lanes on the lower deck of the bridge on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, the far-left lanes will be closed. The closures are so Caltrans can conduct maintenance and repair work.

On Monday, April, 8, one lane of the lower deck will close at 7 p.m. Caltrans estimates it will reopen at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The maintenance work is dependent on weather, and a storm is expected to hit the Bay Area Thursday morning.

Message signs will be deployed on the bridge to help drivers. Delays should be expected.
